How does one save a good configuration?
I see "backup" in Programs>Accessories>System Tools menu, but nothing about
saving or restoring; isn't this where such an option should be?

Create an emergency repair disk.
Start=>Programs=>Accessories=>system
tools=>backup=>emergency repair disk.
If something ever goes wrong and system files or the
registry get corrupted the repair function on the Win2k cd
will ask for this. Hope that's what you're lookin for.

Last Known Good is an automatic utility in win2k - yes,
you can create an ERD (and should in addition to regular
backups) but LKG is meant for system crashes, bad driver
updates, etc - i.e. you wouldn't be given the option to
use this until you go through a reboot - if you get this
option and have NOT logged on successfully prior to
getting the option to utilize LKG then USE IT. if you have
your options will be safe mode and then on to other
utilities that aren't quite as thorough. you cannot (that
i know of) configure LKG in any way.
