10 years ago to the day concorde made its last commercial flights into Heathrow ...Wow time has flown by!

One of my Dad's golfing buddies is an ex-Concorde Captain.
Some great stories & one is that their are more astronauts than Concorde pilots!!

I saw the very last Concorde flight go over Asdas at Charlton on that day.

Odd, I was talking about Concorde with a friend the other day, it was always said that economics was the reason it was taken out of service but I don't think that crash helped.

A piece of tyre sucked into the engine? I often wonder, as laymen do, why they didn't just fit a mesh grill over the intake? I daresay there's some technical reason or other but....

I was at Duxford last year and went on the Concorde they had there, its much smaller than i thought!
