Laserjet vs. Inkjet for photos

How does a laser compare with an inkjet for photos? We really need speed,
and don't want to mess with inkjet cartridges anymore. How well do
photographs look on a LaserJet? Is there special paper for laser printers
(photos)?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Depends on what you want the output for. I'm pretty impressed with the
output, on cheapo copier paper, from my Epson C900. Laser photo paper
looks even better. 8x10s from an old 1.5Mp digicam look fine but
obviously wouldn't pass close inspection.
So far, unlike my Epson Photo 895, nothing has clogged up either!

Thanks for the input. I didn't think a laserjet would be as good as an
inkjet for photos, but maybe we can get by with it for the speed. Even a
cheap, disposable inkjet would do for those occasional photos.
