Laserjet 4000 printing too far down the page

I have a Laserjet 4000 and I am printing on form paper. The problem
is the printer prints about 1/2" farther down the page than it should
so the print does not fit in the space on the form.

What I am printing is 1& 2 pages from pre-existing PDF files where
some pages need to be reprinted. So I cannot reformat the output.

Is there any way to adjust the feed or something so it will print
where it should on the form?

thanks...charlie

You can't adjust the printer, it isn't possible.
If the changes cannot be made from the printer driver you will need to find an
application that enables you to reformat the document. There are some
freeware/shareware products that do this.
I am assuming that the other documents print correctly????

There are a number of PDF to Word applications, but a lot
depends on the PDF and whether graphics are involved.
I've found graphics are the biggest hurdle, they tend to
want their own page, maybe because they are too high
a resolution and the PDF to Word isn't capable of scaling
them appropriately.

OP doesn't say what program is doing the printing, but Acrobat Reader
default settings are to scale the page to fit the printer.

What Acrobat Reader thinks is correct is frequently wrong. Telling it
to not scale the image can fix problems like this.

The original PDF files are 1000s of pages and were created by a VB app
using Distiller.

We need to reprint a page here and there. I can select a page and
print it but the output is not correct. I could delete all but the
pages I want to print and try some reformatting app. Any suggestions
for this app?
