I have a Panasonic KX-P6100 laser printer that does not print very
dark. I have it on the darkest setting, it has plenty of toner and I
have done all the maintenance/cleaning listed in the user manual. The
only thing that does make it any better (but still not really good) is
if I wipe the drum with a tissue. I do this during the warm-up phase
and by opening the side door and interrupting the heating cycle when
the drum is turning, I can get to clean a different part of the drum.
At this stage the drum does seem to have some toner streaks on it.
Does anybody have any ideas for me? I am quite happy to tackle the
electronics and have a multimeter but am not experienced with laser
printers.
