larger boxes in monthly view

how can i make the area larger in the daily boxes--i use the monthly view. i
don't want to have to hit the button at the bottom of the overflowing boxes
to see additional text. is it possible?

select a week or two in the date navigator so you see fewer weeks in a
month - the boxes will be bigger.
