I am running XPpro and have 4 drives and each root dir. has a 840,00,000
page.sys file
Is this a stsndard size or are they bloted?
Any advise please.
Thanks Roy

imho, you should only need one pagefile, and that should be 1.5 times the
amount of physical memory you have.

so if you have you 256 MB RAM on the machine your pagefile should be 384MB.
I set both the initial size and maximum size the same.

you can have multiple pagefiles and some would say that you should put the
pagefile on a different drive other than your system drive to increase
performance, but I don't subscribe to that.

sounds a bit bloated.
it is common practice with multiple hard drives to place the page file on the first partition of a drive other than the system drive.
in doing this MS also recommends a small (20MB) page file on the system/boot partition for error reporting.

you can disable page file on all but the drives you really want to have them on.
