large gap at beginning of report

I have a report that was working, but has acquired a weird "feature" since
I've worked on it a bit.

Report has Report Header, Page header and footer, detail section, which is
one row high.

When it prints, there is about a 1-2 inch gap between the first row and the
second. that's the only place it shows up. It's a multi-page report, but
the gap only appears between the first and second lines on the first page
only.

Any idea what I did?

Thanks in advance.

What have you tried to identify the cause? I would try color the background
of each report section a different color to see which section is causing the
issue.

Duane, you suggest an interesting and creative way to troubleshoot, which I
will remember another time. But it didn't help me here. I've reduced the
form to just having a page header and footer and detail section. Colored all
three differently. When the report opens (i.e., preview) the first row in
the detail section is yellow, then there's a big gap of white space, followed
by the remainder of the rows in yellow.

Still got me scratching my head.

'nuther idea?

That did it Duane, I re-built the whole thing from scratch and the problem
went away. Guess I'll just have to live with not knowing the cause!

Thanks for the suggestion.
