Large File Transfer pc to lappie

I run w2k with sp4 on my laptop and on a desktop.
I need to transfer about 7 gb of info from my desktop pc
to the laptop. Is there away? If so give me detail as I am
not too tecky..
 
Simply connect the two PCs together with a cross over cable. Map a drive to
the PC with the files and copy them to the other.

Map the drive by right clicking My Computer and select Map Nework Drive.
Type in the UNC path to the other PC. \\computername\sharename
