Large blue bar in windows mail

The large dark blue toolbar that has the buttons on it - new mail, reply,
print, etc... Is there any way of changing this? I really hate it with a
passion. It would not be so bad if I could change the colour, but cannot
find any settings in windows mail for this.
Does anyone know of a way of changing it please?

It's not visible with the Windows Classic theme.
 
According to the Windows Mail team the blue ribbon is a signature feature of
the whole family of apps and will not change.

And an ugly one at that. I was hoping maybe they would allow a change of
colour like with Live messenger.
 
I was in a private chat in which that question came up. Color change is not
allowed because it is a signature and not just a feature.

I don't really mind it, but what ever happened to user configurability?
Oh well, I know it's not going to change.

Crap signature. Sorry but it really does look ugly. I can't see many
people being happy with not being able to change it.
