Laptops accessing more than one domain

We have a number of users who travel between the offices of two sister
companies with their laptops. Each office has its own network and different
domains. Is there a way to set up the laptops of these users so they can
login to either domain depending on which office they're at? The main reason
for this requirement is that the users need access to file and print services
at both locations.
Our anticipated solution would be to let them join the domain of one
location and when they are at the other location they would log in locally
and run a script to map the network resources required. This solution,
however, seems less elegant than the ability to, for example, select the
appripriate domain from the "options" on the login dialog.
The laptops in question all run Windows XP Professional. The servers in one
location run Windows Server 2000 and in the other, Windows Server 2003.
Any help in this matter would be much appreciated.

Helter,

There are several configuration manager programs which are typically used in
this situation. They may require assistance from network staff for each domain,
unfortunately.
