I inherited an old laptop running XP.
The laptop has a touchpad, but the touchpad double click is too
sensitive.

I have the buttons right below the touchpad, so I would like to disable
the double click portion of the touchpad.

But I cannot find anyplace to access the touchpad.

I tried control panel->mouse but its not there.
Its also not under keyboard also.

I dont see anything within Accessories, or even Programs.

Where can I find it?

Thanks

Go to the laptop mftr.'s website and download/install the drivers for
the touchpad for your specific model laptop.

In addition to the suggestions you've received so far, look in Control
Panel and in the Start Menu for an icon that is specifically for the
touchpad. For example, you might see an icon for "Synaptic" which is used
for many (but not all) touchpads.

In Control Panel, click the link for the "other" category if using XP style
view - or - toggle to Classic view for individual listings of control panel
applets (instead of categories).
