Laptop that moves between several different networks

Hi,

I have a laptop with XP professional that moves between
several different networks. Some with different domains,
some with different network settings.

What is the best way to set up the OS to be used as easily
as possible?

In that situation, I typically join no domain, and just use the new ability
of XP Pro to manage network passwords. You can input your credentials for
each domain and store them, so you will authenticate seamlessly regardless
of where you are. It's very cool - I have a domain at work and a domain at
home that I can move back and forth between. If you have one domain that you
want to receive services from (login scripts, etc.) then just join that
domain and use the credentials manager to authenticate to the rest.
