Hey all,

I'm about to buy a new laptop to replace my old Sony Vaio. I'm buying a new Vaio, it's £999 and here is the spec. Just wanted to know if there were any glaring things I'd not thought about or if you think it's a good deal.

Thanks.

Dont look too bad, got a link? :)

Looks good to me but if I were spending a grand I'd want a spare battery thrown in ;)

How many cores?

No Blu-Ray drive!

That should have for that money, give em a ring and negotiate for a blu-ray drive

Good spot, it has HDMI out but no means to play HD disks....

I'm not really fussed about blu-ray to be honest. More looking for a laptop with a decent spec that will do me for a few years.

It's on the sony website V_R, it's the 'S' class one and I've customised it a bit. It has i3 as standard, but they have an offer on at the moment of a free upgrade to an i7.
