Hi.

My laptop was sent away as it was overheating. Apparently, the cuprit
was a faulty fan.

After getting it back, it seems to shut down after a few minutes of
inactivity.

Ive gone to the control panel and messed with the power options, but
alas, no solution.

And if it helps, here is her pic and specs:

Have you reconfigured the BIOS' power usage settings to the way
they were before you sent the laptop off? A repair facility will
normally update the BIOS to the latest revision as part of its
standard repair procedures, and doing so resets everything to the
factory defaults, rather than the way you had customized it.

Shutting down or Hibernating ?

I havent touched my PheonixBIOS at all...

I think the comp repairer must have changed the setting somehow.

Can you recommend a safe and effective program?

As I said, it would have been standard practice for the repair
facility to have updated the BIOS, thereby resetting it to the factory
default settings. To put the power settings back to the way you
prefer them, simply follow the instructions in the laptop's manual.
