I'm trying to help a friend out, so does anyone know where I might find info on dismantling laptops - specifically a Tiny AT2 series.

TIA

Try your local Library for Upgrading & Repairing Laptops by Scott Mueller:thumb:
It's not tied to one maker but will be able to show most things you may want to do.

Thanks for that Feckit, I'll order one in and check it out, although I thought I remembered a review of this book which said it seemed to concentrate mainly on IBMs - still woth a look though

Adywebb - that's a damn good site. worth bookmarking

Crazylegs. The laptop has a very noisy fan. I've taken out all the usual screws, but there is something still holding the case together - hmmm, perhaps a screwdriver between the casing might help :)

Another good site for service manuals is http://www.eserviceinfo.com/. But I guess you are on a right place. Most of the time, Laptop body have self locking mechanisim. Use the flat screw driver carefully from one corner, possibly front corner. (Or bring the laptop to me and I will do it for you :-)
