Laptop power

Hiya to all, i am currently building a photovoltaic circuit which
charges a car battery in order to power a laptop. Could someone give
me an idea of how to power the laptop or charge its battey WITHOUT the
use of an inverter ?

Buy a 12 charger, at least dell had them for some
laptops, also used in airplanes, where some supply
12 volts for that purpose.
Years ago we bought a double set(90--220V and 12V)
for a Dell Laditude(??) with a cigaret lighter cord
and an airplane cord.
