Hi All
Is their a way to set the plugged in network to
have a higher priority than the wireless network
adapter? When I put my laptop on the mini dock, it
continues to use wireless for new connections.
I would like it to start using the wired connection
when docked. Currently I have to disable the wireless
NIC, but I forget to activate it before undocking.

Any help would be great,
-Solomon

Assuming that both network connections are enabled, that should happen
automatically, as described here:

An Explanation of the Automatic Metric Feature for Internet Protocol
Routes

If automatic metrics don't work, assign the metrics manually, giving a
lower value to the plugged-in network connection. To assign a metric
to a network connection:

1. Open the Network Connections folder.
2. Right click the desired connection.
3. Click Properties | Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
4. Click Properties | Advanced.
5. Un-check "Automatic metric".
6. Enter a number between 1 and 9999 for the "Interface metric".

Hi Steve
Thanks for the info, it helped.
For some reason my wireless was set to 10 and my wired
was set to auto. I set them both to auto and it works
perfect.

Thanks,
-Solomon
