I have a laptop with Win XP that I use mostly in the
office. It is connected to the Internet through a DSL
provider and have been assigned a static IP.

I also have a cable modem connection at home from a
different network service provider (connected to my home
PC), again with a static IP.

I want to know whether and how I can configure the
network connection (alternate configuration???) on my
laptop so that I can use it both at home and at work
without having to change the Default Gateway and other
network settings each time I need to connect to the Net?

Help! And, thanks in advance,

Sunil

.
At home, obtain the IP and DNS address automatically,
while, leave the IP address from work place network
in alt. config.

If this doesn't work, then, copy the address frm alt.
config and make it user config.

esymzb
would have the IP address saved on your laptop
