i have an Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.70GHz and its speed is 1.65GHz it has 512mb of RAM and it runs choppy at times. when i get on the computer at first it runs normally and when i play a game it still runs normally. but after a while the computer begins to run choppy. the game runs choppy and if i try to watch videos they look choppy but the audio is fine. can anyone help me with this problem

well.... the 512 of memory may not be enough for the computer to swap infromation in and out.
get a good 1GB of memory.

Might also be overheating a little if the problem only occurs on games/video after a bit of time.

My laptop is 1.5gb and 512min ram and i do not get slow down.

Do you have any software running in the background?

Don,t think you need 1gb ram unless your on vista, xp will run fine on 512.

Try Disk Defragmenter on windows xp.

Where do you have your laptop?
