laptop hard drive password

Hello

We have 2 IBM Travelstar Hard Drives that have been tested using the "IBM
fitness test software utility" and have failed the test due to "password"
protection.

Does anyone know how to break hdd passwords?
If so it would be much appreciated if you can help.

Do you care what is on the hard drive? If not, use one of the utilities
out there that writes zeros to the disk to clear everything off the drive
first.
