Laptop for my Grandma

Hey Guys,

I was wondering whether anyone had any decent ideas for a laptop for my (very old) Grandma. The most important thing is that the keys are big / keyboard is well spaced - she won't be doing anything other than emailing.

I know there's reasonable laptops around for £400 which maybe I'll pick up.... but does anyone know of a decent alternative to the bog-standard ones?

laptop keyboards are usually a standard size the only way to bypass this is to connect a standard PC keyboard so the keys are spaced a little more

your best bet is to get an additional kepboard to plug into the laptop. you can get equipment for less abled people and suggest you have a look around. just found the following which is a good price:

i also forgot to mention, you may find it useful to use an alternative to a mouse. the mousepads on laptops are pretty awkward at the best of times. we used to run a machine with a trackball mouse which is easier than a standard mouse if mobility or arthritis is an issue. have a look at this one:

sorry about the multiple replies rufus, but just found the very thing i used to use. this is the wireless model which may be even more useful. it glows too.
