Why does my Error Log say that Lanman Workstation is non
existent? Is it part of another program and could I have
trashed it by mistake? Could this be why I get no response
from my printer?

Can anyone help?

I have some experience with this. I happened to remove
LanmanWorkstation myself. ;o)

The Client for Microsoft Networks component is actually the Workstation
service (LanmanWorkstation).

Network Connections | Your Connection | Properties |General tab | Install
Client for Microsoft Networks.

Removing Client for Microsoft Networks Removes Other Services
