chinese. How can i change the language in order that all the comands arei n
English

That will not change the language of the UI. To do that you must have the
Multilingual User Interface (MUI) or current equivalent.

Yes, you're right.

I don't know much about the MUI pack, but the information in Microsoft's
KnowledgeBase doesn't say anything about supplying an English UI in a
non-English version of Office. It's possible that the English UI is built
in, and the Chinese UI just has to be turned off.

I think this question should be reposted in the
microsoft.public.word.international.features newsgroup.

I agree that .international.features is a more promising and appropriate
venue for this question. Like you, I know zilch about international
features.

Word 2000 - 2003: The MUI is available only for the English version. If you
bought a localized version, you can't change the language interface.

Word 2007: It's all one version, so the MUI will work no matter which
localized version you've installed. Getting the MUI is the question.

I'm not sure what the policy for Office 2007 is (haven't had the chance to
ask). For earlier versions, only MSDN subcribers or those with volume
licenses could get an MUI.
