On my Windows 2000 under
- Control Panel
- Administrative Tools
- Data Sources (ODBC)

all text strings in the window appear in Japanese.
All other text strings in all other Windows menues appear in English, as
they should be.

They are not displayed correctly, but shown as vertical bars.
This makes the texts in the ODBC Window unreadable.
It seems to be Japanese, as this is the language that is indicated
when I open the help for this window.

Question:
How can I set the language back to English?

I installed the DAC version 2.8, however, this did not change the language.

I don't have an answer but see if it looks correct here.

HKLM\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBC.INI\ODBC Data Sources

and also the subkey for each DSN found at;
HKLM\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBC.INI\

(note: substitute HKCU for HKLM if user DSN's)
