How do i fix this?

when you first use your mail users experience this. Go to start, microsoft
Mail, options, tools, language, change from English to something else, and
then English again. Apply this and close it and you can then use the spell
check.

Do as Ramesh says. Pull down the dropdown and re-enter English
and wala -it works. Thanks Ramesh!!

It's unlikely that you can. Microsoft seems to have stopped providing
any new features or other updates for Windows Mail.

Microsoft is putting most of their email effort toward their new email
and newsreader program, Windows Live Mail, which offers more
languages, but some of them are hidden. You might want to ask if
one of them is Brazilian-Portuguese in newsgroup:

microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop
