Hello Members,

Some time ago I started a blog where I write about Language issues in
Business. This is not about web sites in different languages, but how
language affects businesses. In other words, how does language affect
the Bottom-Line. For example, I have a report on how a hospital in the
US used a network of interpreters over the internet to cut down costs
and make this service available when needed. My contribution is to
identify the Language issues and other implications in the story;
mainly philosophical, business, social and political.

Thank you for your time.

Regards

Lawrence

Language in Business
How important is language in Business? I think it is very important,
but don't take my word for it. Follow some of the interesting stories
that appear in the e-media.

Instead of apologising, ask yourself why you're posting
your note in a Windows 2000 networking group. It has
nothing whatsoever to do with Windows. Trying your
hand at spamming?

Hi Pegasus,

Thank you for your note.

I managed to find some good stories on how some hospitals solved their
doctor/patient language problems by getting a group of interpreters
together over an internet network. It saved money and probably lives. I
thought it might be interesting for IT people.

Lawrence

PS: I do not have adscene on my blog, precisely to keep it educational
and informative.
