Language Bar Missing

Please help,
I can see the bar (where I can drag the bar) but there is nothing in the bar.
* I have 2 languages in my Regianal settings (EN, RU), and I can't swich
between them.
* "Turn off advanced text services" is not checked.
* Language Bar Settings: "Show the Language bar..." is all checked.

It started somewhere after I tried to install "Windows Desktop Search
[kb911993]", and then uninstalled it.
I don't know if it's connected.

have you tried a detect and repair? Open any msoffice program and click on
help then detect and repair.... Or go to add/remove programs, find and
office program and click on remove or repair or change. The options to
repair will be provided.
