LAN_A - VPN to VPN- LAN_B using Windows 2003 and PreSHared KEY

I am trying to find documentation for implementing LAN A - LAN B VPN
using Windows 2003 and Pre Shared Key. All the info I am finding seems
to be based on User or Groups permission dial in access and Pre Shared
Key, I need this to work with Pre shared Key only, since the 3rd party
LAN_B cannot send username and password credentials
..

Whilst the above document touches on LAN to LAN VPN it does not cover
no user or group based VPN, although it seems this is possible with
Windows 2003 being the Router/VPN.

Any Docs anyone knows of describing how to do this would be most
helpful

THanks in advance

Ian

not sure the issue, but you may want to try IPSec.

Company B have their own network LAN_B and have devices deployed on
our Network LAN_A, in order to service these devices remotely they
want to VPN into our site using a site - to site VPN.

They initially suggested that they would deploy a VPN concentrator on
our network and connect using that. I would like to better controll
what they have access to and when. So...We want to use Windows 2003 to
maintain the VPN.

They have said that the VPN at our lan, LAN_A must be setup to use
Pre-Shared KEY and not usernames and password, so just the pre shared
key to get on the VPN.

How can I do this?

Thanks

Thank you for the details. As mentioned, you may want to create ipsec on
both site using pre-shared key. this may help even it talks about client.

How to setup Windows IPsec client

To setup windows IPSec client on w2k/xp, run MMC to add IPSec Security
Policies. Right-click on it to create a new IP filter. Make sure both server
and client have the same settings such as IP subnet, tunnel IP, pre-shared
key and authentication methods.
