Hello all,
I've got an Ethernet Network Card that seems to give me problems on
certain occasions:
- Playing Internet Checkers or any other online game crashes my
computer when pressing play
- Can't retrieve updates from windows update center... it takes an
eternity and then it says a problem occured
- Can't use MSN Messenger because it blocks right before it signs in (I
don't think it signs in at all)
- Can't start windows conversation or webcamera with windows messenger
(Programming and accepting connections are not a problem using
Microsoft .NET Framework)
When I switch network device (to a wireless for example) I can do all
this stuff and much more. Can this be a problem from my ethernet
network adapter? I think it's from 3Com.
Changing network adapter would fix this problem?
I changed the LAN adapter to an onboard Fast Ethernet Realtek and
it gives me the same problems.
Why does with this computer gives me problems and the other all don't?
I'm desperate to solve this problem, and I'm starting to distrust that
is from the motherboard. Could it be? This computer acted like a server
a long time ago and now it's giving problems.
I'm using static private IP's but I don't think it's anything related
to that.
Can't start for example "Internet Checkers" because when I press play
it gives me a crash error report. But why?
Thanks for any reply,
Nuno Magalhaes.
