I use Outlook on DSL, works fine. I installed a ISDN-card in order to send
and receive fax. The fax worked sending/receiving, but Outlook was stuck
during startup at next reboot. Removed ISDN-card, and Outlook was then OK.
How do I install/configure this? I want to use the ISDN-line for fax, and DSL
for Outlook/Explorer etc.

I use such a sys, same versions, without problem. However I dont use OL for
the Fax or any Fax options, I use a seperate Fax app supplied with my ISDN
card.
I do have dialup email accounts available to OL via ISDN without a problem.

Thanks DL,
I was then inspired to try again!

I use ADSL for the net.
Found out that Outlook hang/stopped during start-up if I installed any other
modem than just the virtual fax modem. Fault-finding was very time consuming
since the problem did not occur before a rebot with a vir.modem installed,
and the problem did not go away before a reboot with modems removed.

Well, fax (and answering machine and phone and everything) works just
perfect now with only a virtual fax-modem installed on the Eicon Diva
ISDN-card and with RVS-COM lite!

Must confess I also used Eicon and RVS com lite, all was hunky dory untill I
had another hd failure. On reinstalling to new hd I was continually getting
probs with Eicon virtual modems so I installed my BT virtual modems (
supplied with BT ISDN card) on the Eicon card all ok
The RVS Com lite fax software is superior to BT fax software, but then I
dont send to many faxes
