CNR slots on some motherboards wre supposed to do that. The standard
never caught on, if it even was a standard, and the only ones that
would works in boards that had the slots were from the manufacturer of
the motherboard. CNR stands for "Communication and Network Riser"...
Right, I got that. What I was saying was that combining the 2
functions was a purpose of the CNR slot. Ya know, I think
HP/Compaq/Emachines might use a setup like you're looking for. It'll
be a half-height card though, for the smaller cases they use, if it's
a PCI, might be the CNR style I spoke of before...
