I have a LAN card and i have the drivers installed for it
on a win 2000 professional computer, the lan card is listed
in the device manager and the computer is detecting the
lan card fine, but i am not able to logon to my network.
I did the following troubleshooting:
1:reinstalled the LAN card drivers
2:Installed service pack 4 on the operating system and
also the latest security patches.
3:Checked the LAN card drivers, they are digitally signed.
Checked the cable and the connectors as well, changed
the LAN card,Connected the other LAN card to a different
PCI Slot But that did not help.
PLEASE HELP ME RESOLVING THE ISSUE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

None of these mentions any configuration of the network. Cpould it be
your hardware works fine and you're looking in the wrong area?
Especially since your problem of "not able to logon" could mean you
have the CAPS LOCK on while typing the password? (Or a million other
possibilities)

How about the logical address? Are using TCP/IP? Does it have a unique IP
address on the same subnet your other machines are on? What does IPConfig
/all show on the machine that has the problem? What does it show on your
DC?
