When i am on my other computer, i go to set up a network with this computer, and it says 'Local Area Network is unplugged' and it wont let me. Well, my ethernet LAN is enable, and running properly (the ethernet is brand new and everything is shown to be running fine), but its still unplugged.. so im not really sure what to do to make it 'plug in' so that i can have a network.

Sounds like you have a bad or incorrect cable if you are
sure your nic is good and is setup with correct
protocols... Probably bad cable as if it is good and
connected it still should show you have connected cable..
