I have a really starnge issue. rcently I started getting calls that users
were kicked out of server and when I check the server the LAN connection was
disabled. No one was near the server when this happaned. There were no
major software upgrades. Does anyone have a clue how I can trackt he culprit
down? Or has anyone faced a similar issue?

I would appreciate any feedback on this issue.

Thank you
Richie

Can you be a bit more specific about the problem? Was their LAN connection
actually disabled, or do you mean that their connection to the server was
disabled?

LAN Connection was disabled. When I right click on Local Area Connection
"Enable" was highlighted. As soon as I enabled it everything was OK. I
don;t understand how the LAN connection got disabled. There was nothing in
the eventlog that was helpful either.

Okay, that's a bit clearer. You say the LAN connection on the server is
being disabled by a cause or person(s) unknown. No entries in the Event Log
on the server explain why. That's odd, but clear enough.

Is the server accessible remotely - that is, are you running any kind of
remote administration software on it?
