We have purchased multiple Compaq laptops and use them to setup a control
panel to access through the web. Have set them up as similar as the XP OS
which has worked fine but Vista gives us a limited connectivity message and
will not bring up the web page associated with our control panels. We set up
TCP/IPv4 to manually select an IP address with subnet but still no luck. Any
thoughts on this would be appreciated.

If you're using a router, make sure you have the newest firmware installed.
You'll find it at your router's website.

I updated mine and it works like a charm on the Vista machine and of course
the already working XP units.
