I'm using a dlink wireless router with my home network and things are
working wonderfully. My problem is this...two programs that have connected
to the internet before now all of a sudden claim to not be able to find the
network connection (neither of them have a place for me to change the
settings).

All my other programs explorer, AOL, etc. have no problems..if anyone has
any ideas on what's happening or how to fix, I'd appreciate it.

Yo "Killer"
What programs are they?
Are you running a firewall? Perhaps you need to provide access?

respectfully guessing

Well there's a firewall that's part of the router but have no idea how to
configure it. The odd thing is this, even internet explorer doesn't see the
always-on connection as it flashes the "work offline" message. When I click
"try again" it connects. This is happening with all internet related
programs, even my outlook newsreader. Not sure what's happening.

I did notice that after I installed AOL it put a connection in the
connections area and whenever I opened Internet Explorer, the connectoid
popped up and asked me to dial, which of course I don't need to do sine this
is an always on connection. When I delete the connectoid, I'm back to "the
no connection" message.
