I am trying to network my Dell win2k desktop and my
daughters Inspiron 1100 with xp home. I can get them to
ping each other, but the notebook won't recognize the
desktops printer. After installing the printer on the
1100, it will test print. If I reboot,it won't print and
displays "Access denied". Any ideas?

It displays access denied to whom? The person logged into the console or
the remote user?
If the former, what are the rights of that user?
If the latter, can they every print to the printer?

.
The problem was solved by matching the user names and
passwords on both machines. Added a new user with the
exact name and password that appeared on the other machine.
