I want to make a linear chart
In col a we have figures between minus 3 en plus 3
In col B we have negative numbers zero, 4895 till positive numbers
zero,49507961.

Former postings came back. Impossible to post it.

thanks!

how can i arrange for the Y-axis to cut the X-axis in the zeropoint? I'd
like the graph to look like a cross with four quadrants. I, II, III and IV.

At this moment, the Y-axis of the graph cuts the X-axis in the value -3.

Click on y-axis; format it; specify where it is to cross x-axis (in your
case 0)
To see four quadrants: change the scales of both axis to a range with
negative minimum values.
best wishes

Did you make an XY chart as Bernard suggested, or a Line chart? By default,
the axes of an XY chart automatically cross at 0,0.
