Labels

By default labels use the normal paragraph style but you can format the
contents just like any other text in a table cell.

Select the label then go to your tool bar and select the
properties button. Select the Format tab and look for
font. Click on the drop down arrow and select your font.
Then look for the font properties selection where you can
bold it or italitize (sic) it.
 
You've received a couple of other good answers, but if you are wanting to
format the font of label text in the Tools | Envelopes and Labels window,
select the text to be formatted, right-click, and choose Font.
