Labels and printing

Hello everybody,

I'm new to Access and have observed several strange things while trying to
print the labels from the database entries.
The database structure was prepared by somebody else, as well as "Labels"
report (4 labels per page)

The problems I'm faced with are as follows:

1) Record (line) nr 1 prints between number 89 and 90, so that you have the
printout like this:

2/3 6/7 10/11 86/87 1/90
4/5 8/9 12/13 ... 88/89 91/92

The same happens after the number 314. Numbers 315 to 376 are somewhere in
between 140 and 141 as well as between 223 and 224.

I suppose that this can be due to the fact that there are several persons
working on the DB and adding lines, but may I do something about this and
order the labels so I'm not obliged to look for them page after page?
Thanks for any hints,

Gizmo

Not sure that I understand your question, as a "labels " report is meant to
print one record per label block, generally left-right, and top to bottom of
the page.

If you mean that the label contents are not printing in the order that you
expect, you can control that by creating a query that orders/filters the
records of the table in the order that you need; set that query as the
record source of your report. The report itself has an "order" property
that you can define, and lastly, the group/sort dialog of the report will
over-ride any other previous sort order.

If this is not what you requested, post back with more details.
