Hi,

I need a program that allows me to print 10-15 different lables on an Avery
sheet at one go.

Using MS Word I need to print one by one which is very time consuming. I
don't have the addresses in a database to use MailMerge.

TIA,
jane

I use WordPerfect and can enter the info for each label on the sheet, then
print all the labels in one pass. I would think (hope) that MS Word can do
the same. Each label is considered a page, I believe, so maybe you just
have to enter the info on 10-15 pages, then 'print all' or whatever.

The Avery software may be the better way to go, though.

MS Word handles label printing the same way WordPerfect does. When the
label option is chosen, you can leave the label information blank and
create a new sheet of labels. The various label content can then be
typed into each label space on the page. The page can then be printed.

My problem was that I wanted to print address labels from my list of
addresses but most labelling (labeling) software assumes I am incapable
of measuring labels and so offers me lists and lists of preformatted
labels and I couldn't find the ones I wanted. And then there are all
sorts of clever ways of formatting fields, positioning them, allocating
fonts and font attributes and no end of clever ways of attaching fields
to databases of all descriptions ...

STOP --- I just want address labels...

So I wrote this program.
1. Create the label template.
2. Dump addresses in a text file.
3. Point the program at it.
4. Print the labels.

Whew!
