Hi,
If I only have the tables, how can I add the labels for
the variables in the table?
Thanks a lot

ummm... you'll have to explain this question. Tables contain fields,
not variables; fields can have captions, but not labels.

One suggestion: leave your table's fieldnames alone - use fieldnames
that help document the structure of your table, without blanks; e.g.
CustomerID, LastName, FirstName, etc. DO NOT use a table datasheet
for user interaction; create a Form instead. You can put whatever
labels you wish on the controls on a Form.

Hey John:

Thanks for helping others. I am now trying my hand at
helping, since I am so often helped. Good to see you
active in the newsgroups. Brenda . . . John's advice is
sound and thoughtful.

<grin> Ha! Gotcha hooked! Now to reel in the line...

Thanks Doug, for the compliment and for "paying forward". Just don't
let the newsgroups eat up too much of your time!

Ha! There's the pot calling the kettle black! With all your posts, John, I
don't think I'd use *you* as a model as someone who doesn't let the
newsgroups eat up too much of their time! <g>
