I need a kvm switch and cable setup for two computers. I don't wish to
spend a great deal, but I do want something that is reliable with no
"gotcha's".

TIA

i use an edimax usb kvm with audio (EK-UA2C). cheap (£20) and has decent
cable lengths (1.8M).

Depends on what type of KVM you are looking for? As you saw there are
USB, but there are also your standard PS/2 KVM's. I purchase IOGEAR
for the company I work for. They have two and four port switches, and
work very well.

Hopefully that helps out.

Thanks

I've had lots of compatibility issues with Belkin switches (both intelligent
and dumb) on a variety of hardware. I can't recommend them.

I always wonder about posts such as this. A KVM costs only about $20.
Buy it, if it fails, return it.

I had a 5 port that was absolutely great, but almost all the other
Belkin network gear I've used has been best served by being replaced.

I use a Trendware TK200. I got it online from CompUSA, but it don't see it on their website now. It includes cables, but does not support sound or USB.

Thanks to those who replied to my request. I have ordered the IOGEAR GCS62.
Thanks for steering me away from one of the Belkin
switches. I don't need the hassle of crawling around under my desk every
couple of months to switch cables, etc.
