KV8 Deluxe Questions

FWIW, my K8V Deluxe did not come with any WiFi components. I couldn't be
happier, though. It performs well and was a breeze to install.

Hia fellow Kv8 users,

question for you: Do you guys have "processors" listed in device manager ?
(Xp sp1)

the reason for this is that i want to install the cool'n quiet driver for
amd, and you have to update the "processors" tab in device manager.

And second, did you guys oc the amd already ? if yes, what settings.

To get the "processors" listed in device manager you have to use the 1003
beta bios. Then you can enable cool n quiet. Although on my system cool n
quiet is disabled in bios and cannot be changed

I have tried to overclock with the CPU fsb setting. It worked ok at 210 with
the original bios but with the beta bios it is not stable.

i saw the beta bios on asus's site, but wanted to wait for the official
release.

Me running on stock speed, tried turbo1 and turbo2 settings (dunno what else
the turbos does except clocking it at 2050 mHz, maybe some more aggressive
mem timings), but had some problems copying large files with that setting
(Delayed write errors).

Using PC3500 Cas2, so it should go to 217 mHz, if the Amd64 can handle that.

So basically we have to wait for new bios for enabling cool'n quiet.

The motherboard only has the WiFi slot.

The motherboard has a slot for a Wifi card. You need the card to us Wifi.
