ks.sys refuses to load

trying to install W2000 pro onto a new hard disk -
installation gets so far, then when loading files,
says "cannot load ks.sys" "f3 to cancel installation".
Have disconected all surplus hardware (an old video card
did the same with another installation and was corrected
by removing but now nothing more to remove!)
any help appreciated.

Jack - There may be several different causes. Google for
"ks.sys" (with quotes)
to get info from several websites, incl microsoft.
