Konica 7020

Hi Mike and all the others!

I have the same problem, too.
Did you solve your problem in the meantimeß

Windows 2000 Server SP4
Konica 7020 Copier/Printer with IP-421 PCL Interface

I can't get any print from the 2000 Server. The jobs hang in the print
queue until I cancel them. The Server has connection to the Printer,
verified by pinging to the IP Interface that answers correctly.

I have also tried several different drivers from Konica without
success.

It works well from our old NT 4 Server.

Who can help? I am glad about every advice.

I do not think the print driver is the issue on this. Is the Standard
TCP/IP Port configured in LPR mode (it prints to the LPD service running
on the printer network card)? If it is printing in RAW mode, does Konica
support this and to which TCP/IP port number? Unless a RAW port number is
indicated in the network card manual use the LPR mode. READ the manual to
confirm what the queue name should be. If you already are using this mode
check Enable byte counting, some devices require an exact byte count to be
sent to them before printing the document.

If none of these configurations work, the netcard might require the data
originate from source port 721-731 (true lpr spec). Install the LPR Port
monitor.
