Greetings,

I am wondering if there is anyone out there who uses a Kodak RFS 3600
with VueScan. I am having difficulty getting VueScan (latest version)
to recognize my scanner. The RFS 3600 has the latest firmware
installed on it. I have installed the latest CyberViewX drivers and I
can use the scanner via CyberViewX; however VueScan will not detect
the scanner. My O/S is Windows XP Pro w/SP1. I suppose the next step
would be to reinstall windows, but I don't see how this should be
required as CyberViewX can be used on it's own and via Photoshop.
Therefore the driver must be installed correctly. I've tried all of
the drivers that come with the PIE .INF files. No luck with VueScan.

I would really appreciate any feedback or assistance that anyone can
provide.

Cheers,
Jay

Does the following file exist on your system?

c:\windows\twain_32\CyberViewX_MF\RFS3600.dll

Is Windows installed on the C: drive on your system?

Also, make sure any software that's monitoring the buttons on the
front of the scanner is turned off. Press Control-Alt-Delete to see
the list of what's running on your system.

Ed,

Thank you for your reply.

I have Windows XP SP1 installed on the C: drive. It is the only O/S on
my machine.

I do have the RFS3600.DLL (v1.5.3.11; 192,512 bytes) in the
C:\Windows\Twain_32\CyberViewX_MF directory.

What steps should be taken next?

Cheers,
Jay

Ed,

I forgot to mention in my previous message that I do not have any
applications or processes running that are listening for button
presses from the scanner.

Cheers,
Jay
