Updates to Win2K include hotfix KB923810:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS07-055.mspx
But when I try to view an image with the 'updated' Kodak imaging viewer I
get a warning that "viewing...might be a security risk" and a link:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923810
where I am advised to uninstall the viewer.
I began following uninstall instructions but noted the viewer includes TWAIN
support. Will uninstalling it affect TWAIN scanner operation? If KB923810
*doesn't* fix the security risk, why doesn't it just install a 'riskless'
alternative viewer? What *does* it do?
thx,
nf
