Here is what Nextel says:
"Why do I need to upgrade my copy of Outlook 2002?
Microsoft has released some important upgrades for
Microsoft Outlook 2002. This is the version of Outlook
that shipped with Microsoft Office XP. The Desktop
Assistant requires these upgrades before it can be
installed.
These instructions explain how to obtain and install
these upgrades from Microsoft. If you need technical
assistance with these steps, you should consult your
systems administrator.
Visit the Microsoft Office Updates site. Follow the
instructions to check your computer for Office updates
and, if necessary, install Service Pack 2. Note: If you
don't already have Service Pack 1, you will need to
install that first.
After completing step 1, install the hotfix provided by
Microsoft from the Microsoft Downloads site. Once these
steps are completed, you can return to installing the
Desktop Assistant.
What problem does the hotfix solve?
Microsoft Knowledge Base article Q329295 explains the
problem the hotfix is designed to correct.
Note for Systems Administrators
Microsoft has made an administrative installation version
of the hotfix for Q329295 available through their
downloads site."
I still think I need this patch, because Desktop
Assistant won't work without it. Can you help?
